On Saturday, April 15, at at 8:48 a.m., a fatal shooting occurred on SW Landau Court in Bentonville. Bentonville Police are looking into the incident.

An ongoing altercation and gunfire prompted the request for police to arrive. It was claimed that a male who was lying on the ground in the front yard had been shot twice by a neighbor who lived across the street.

Witnesses claimed to have seen the shooter, a black male, carry a gun in his waistband before fleeing away.

Just before 9 a.m., police came and discovered 19-year-old Aaron Joseph Adams already deceased. Police were able to find the weapon and the culprit, 32-year-old Joshua Kay Taylor, who is currently in custody, after conducting additional investigations.

He is detained at the Benton County Jail on charges of first-degree murder and gun possession.
