Anne Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 12, 1982. Her mother is an actress who inspired Hathaway to pursue acting.
After several stage roles, she appeared in the 1999 television series Get Real. Her career development started in Walt Disney’s The Other Side of Heaven. She was also cast as Mia Thermopolis in another Disney production, The Princess Diaries.
In 2008, she was acclaimed for her lead role in Rachel Getting Married and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Her performance in Les Miserables also earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
