On Sunday, July 16, 2023, Anthony Barnes, a native of Cornelius, North Carolina, and the proprietor of Barnes Demolition in Raleigh-Durham, killed suddenly tragically. The family posted a notice on the Assured Community Services LLC Facebook page announcing his death.

We had a long business meeting Friday about how we were about to start boat and jet ski rentals in Charlotte. AB just schooled me about what type of jet skis to look for. . Man from my introduction and schooling into the Bailbonding Industry, to the many trips, and just life moments. I will NEVER forget this guy! From meeting you and being scared to death of you, because everyone knew AB was not to be messed with on the field. To later in life, being afraid to ever let you down. No one can ever count the countless acts of hospitality that you gave to people and the streets. You always taught me take care of the streets and we will always eat! Be respectful but heartless at the same time! Man I’m going to miss you boy!
