So you can only really get three fruits without trading with others: your native, whatever your mom sends you, and your sister fruit that can be found on one specific island. the mom fruit can be the same as the mystery island fruit as well.
Most mystery islands only contain your native fruit. There is a relatively rare island that will be filled with one specific foreign fruit, but that’s it. Although I have my own questions about that. Because I was able to get peaches really early on (my native fruit is pears), but the last few times I found that island, it was always oranges.
Coconuts are the easiest fruit to obtain outside your native fruit, and because of this they are worth a lower price. You can find them any time you use a Nook Miles Ticket to visit a Mystery Island, and shake the palm trees to get up to two Coconuts, and return to plant them along your beach.
Every island only has 3 fruits assigned to it: their default fruit, one freebie fruit you get in the mail on the first day, and a “sister” fruit that is found on mystery islands. The other 2 fruits need to be gotten from other players.
How to get non native fruit?
The only other real way to get non-native fruit is to trade with other players. Either enlist a friend and use the Airport to travel to them, or throw your own Airport gates wide to let any local switch users come visit and bring their native fruit with them.
Fruit can be used in a variety of ways in Animal Crossing, and comes in different types – though only one type of fruit will grow natively on your island when you arrive. The different types of fruit are: Apples. Cherries.
Since every island only starts with one fruit, getting more types of fruit to plant on your island can be difficult. It can be very lucrative to have multiple types of fruit growing on your island, as they can be continually harvested for money or trading:
Players can either sell the fruit to Timmy and Tommy, use them as crafting materials for special DIY items, eat them to gain stamina to temporarily break rocks or transplant whole trees, or trade them with friends. Make sure to avoid eating fruit and then chopping a tree or stone unless you want to destroy them!

What can you leave behind in Mystery Island?
A general rule of thumb for mystery islands is that umbrellas, watering cans, slingshots and magic wands can be left behind. These tools won’t be needed and players will want to minimize the number of items they take so they can maximize inventory.
If players want to collect new insects and fish, they only need a fishing rod, net, ladder and vault pole to get around. If they want to stock up on stones, wood or fruit, then they can bring an axe or shovel, a ladder and a vault pole.
A stack of 10 non-native fruit earns 5,000 Bells for one inventory spot. If the fruit on the island is native to a player’s island, they can harvest it and use a fruit-based DIY recipe to craft items that sell for more Bells.
