After learning that the driver Christopher Deon struck and killed a pedestrian has passed away, the police have concluded the case.
Back on November 22nd, shortly after 8 p.m., troopers were sent to Highway 17 near Bridgeton and discovered Virginia Beach resident Desiree Pitman, 41, had been struck and killed by a car.
Thanks to the public’s assistance, the Highway Patrol was able to locate the involved car and identify Vaughn Jones, 54, of Bayboro, as the driver they suspect was in charge at the time of the hit-and-run.
The troopers said that Jones passed away before being questioned.
The case has been resolved, according to officials.
