He has been booed by his own fans on countless occasions following the fact that they believe he has not lived up to expectations after he was transferred on a huge budget from Leicester City.

Manchester United fans booed Harry Maguire every time he touched the ball during Tuesday’s 3-1 friendly win over Crystal Palace.
Maguire, who has retained his captaincy since boss Erik ten Hag’s arrival, led the team out to jeers, and the vitriol continued inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground when he got his first few touches.
The jeers were directed specifically at Maguire, and audible boos could be heard from the predominantly Manchester United-supporting crowd.
With the last own goal, the English center-back scored in their fixture against Tottenham which ended (2-2) he sat on the floor in remorse and regret and never celebrated.
