Federico G. Seifarth, MD, currently works at WVU Medicine Children's Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He serves as Associate Professor of Surgery at WVU, Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery and Surgeon-in-Chief for WVU Medicine Children's Hospital. He previously worked as Director for Pediatric Surgery and Medical Director of Montana Children's with Kalispell Regional Healthcare in Montana. Dr. Seifarth is specialized in minimally invasive techniques including robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery with the da Vinci robotic system on neonates, children and adolescents. Other specialty interests include pediatric colorectal surgery and chest wall deformities. Dr. Seifarth earned his medical degree and doctorate from the University of Zurich in Switzerland. His postgraduate training includes a residency in pediatrics at University Children's Hospital in Zurich, as well as a residency in pediatric surgery at University Children's Hospital in Basel, Switzerland, and a Fellowship at the University Children’s Hospital in Munich, Germany. He then completed a pediatric surgery fellowship at Miami Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery by the Swiss, German, and European Boards respectively. After his training, Dr. Seifarth joined the staff of Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, as a general pediatric surgeon and director for minimally invasive surgery and advanced technologies. Dr. Seifarth speaks English, German, Italian, French and Spanish.
