Dr. James Bresnahan is an interventional pain medicine physiatrist practicing in the Greater Philadelphia region. He received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and also was chief resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is affiliated with Penn Medicine and ChristianaCare. Dr. Bresnahan is board certified by the ABPMR in Pain Medicine and PM&R.

He specializes in interventional pain medicine and is experienced in epidural injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, electromyography, neuropathic pain, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, botulinum toxin injections, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), and microinvasive techniques to alleviate pain.
