Dr. Kronish was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with his B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he won the most prestigious award for undergraduate biological research. He received his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School and completed a medical internship at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Kronish completed his ophthalmology Residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami, followed by a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin. He was appointed to the full-time faculty at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for 3 years and then joined the Delray Eye Associates in 1991. He is currently a Voluntary Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Clinical Affiliate Associate Professor of Surgery at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University. He is the current Chair of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Foundation, Past President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in eyelid disorders and tumors, cosmetic eyelid and facial rejuvenation surgery, medical and surgical diseases of the orbit, and tearing disorders.
