I completed both medical school and residency training in General Adult Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, as well as fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, working clinically on the inpatient Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team at Froedtert Hospital, the primary adult teaching affiliate for the Medical College of Wisconsin and only Level I Trauma Center in the region. I also serve as an Emergency Psychiatrist at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex in Psychiatric Crisis Services. Additionally, I provide coverage for The Periscope Project provider teleconsultation line, discussing perinatal psychiatric disorders with and making treatment recommendations to health care providers throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Prior to Medicine, I enjoyed a successful career as a professional actor, performing in Musical Theatre productions around the country. I maintain my membership in the Actors' Equity Association, the labor union representing professional Actors and Stage Managers nationwide. My strong background in the arts has also influenced my academic medicine interests: I serve as a faculty advisor for the Physicians for the Arts student organization, faculty associate for the Medical Humanities Program, and faculty facilitator for both the annual Healer's Art course as well as the Art of Medicine elective at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

I am a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association, the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and the American Association for Emergency Psychiatry. I serve as an invited peer reviewer for Academic Psychiatry.

I am certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry.
