Dr. Kowalsky has authored original research manuscripts, reviewed articles, and textbook chapters focusing on AC joint reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and shoulder replacement. He currently serves as a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and the American Journal of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Kowalsky has cared for college and professional athletes at every level of competition. He has provided sports medicine coverage for the Tournament of Champions Squash Tournament and the United States Open Tennis Championship. As a fellow, he was an assistant team physician for the New York Jets and the New York Islanders. He currently serves as team physician for the White Plains Rugby Football Club, Iona College Rugby Football Club, and the Greenwich High School Rugby Team. Dr. Kowalsky is a team physician for the CT Whale, the USA Rugby National Team, and the medical director for the Northeast Academy national development rugby program.
Dr. Kowalsky earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, where he also received an MBA in Health Management.
