Thomas Meade, MD serves as Department Chair, Orthopedic Knee Arthroplasty with Coordinated Health/Lehigh Valley Health Network whose education included Penn State, Jefferson Medical College, Rothman Institute, and Knee Fellowship with Dr Frank Noyes.
He is an experienced clinician in the field of knee replacements, knee ligament reconstruction and has limited his practice to knee surgery since 2004. He holds numerous patents for orthopaedic implants, instruments, and techniques. He has authored numerous articles, book chapters, a book titled ‘10 Commandments of Kinematic Total Knee Arthroplasty’, and is the host of two locally syndicated TV shows: Real Life in The OR and The Dr Meade Show.
His research and speaking interests include out-patient kinematic total knee arthroplasty, nutriceutical use in orthopaedic practice, and multimodal opioid-sparing orthopaedic surgery.
Dr Meade is an avid cyclist, a competitive swimmer and triathlete, has held top ten individual US Masters Swimming rankings and several USMS world relay records.
