A motorbike accident claimed the life of a 16-year-old male from Olathe, Kansas, on Tuesday night.
Ethan Long, 16, was killed in a collision at the intersection of Woodland Road and Falcon Ridge Drive on Tuesday night around 8:42 p.m., according to Lenexa Police.
According to a preliminary inquiry, the truck was turning left into Falcon Ridge Drive while traveling north on Woodland Road. According to the inquiry, the motorbike was moving faster than the 35 mph speed limit while Long was headed south on Woodland Road.
According to Lenexa Police, the truck was turning when the motorcyclist struck the side of the vehicle.
Long, who was sporting a helmet, was declared dead on the spot. The truck driver complied and stayed at the scene.
