Landon Delease, a Taconic Hills high school student who was involved in a tragic car accident on Tuesday night, October 17, has passed away.

GoFundMe that was created by the Taconic Hills senior class in memory of Landon DeLease, made the information known to us 3 hours ago.

Both friends and family found this to be highly surprising. The fundraiser was started by Grace Alvarez on Wednesday, October 18, with the intention of raising funds to be sent to Landon’s family in his memory to assist with any associated expenditures.

The football game this Friday, October 20, and the chicken BBQ have been approved by the Taconic Hills Central School District. In order to “white out” the crowd, show our support for friends and family who are grieving, and pay tribute to Landon, the student body has asked that everyone wear white.

The Pep Rally & Parade, which was supposed to take place tomorrow, October 19, has been rescheduled until a later time this academic year. At a later time, the Homecoming King and Queen and Senior walkthrough will also be revealed.

The Saturday, October 21st Powderpuff game has been canceled. The opinions of the students influenced the changes made to the entire weekend timetable.
