Tragic Shooting Claims Lives of Jessie Ashley and Kaleah Graham in Shreveport

In a devastating incident on Thursday evening, a shooting in the southwest part of Shreveport claimed the lives of two residents, 24-year-old Jessie Ashley and 23-year-old Kaleah Graham. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed their identities.

The tragic event unfolded just before 7 p.m. as Ashley and Graham were driving southbound on Jewella Avenue in the 7800 block. Another vehicle approached them from behind, and gunshots were fired from the passing car, fatally striking both victims.

The Shreveport police responded to the incident and discovered the couple’s vehicle in the 8200 block of Jewella Avenue. Unfortunately, Jessie Ashley and Kaleah Graham were pronounced dead at the scene.

As of now, no suspects have been taken into custody, and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. The community mourns the loss of these two young lives, and authorities are working diligently to bring justice to the victims and their families.
