After a brief illness, John Giblin passed away on January 6, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Irene Wiener Giblin and Vincent Ferrer Giblin welcomed him into the world on March 31, 1943.
Peter V. Giblin, John’s brother, died before him.
John is survived by his children, Petra K. Rush and Christina K. Giblin, as well as his wife of 45 years, Kathleen Kenny Giblin.
He is a Bronx, New York, native who received his bachelor’s degree in business administration in economics from Manhattan College and his master’s degree in business administration in finance from Columbia University School of Business.
He was a long-time member of India House, the Colorado Mountain Club, the Adirondack Mountain Club, and the American Alpine Club.
On January 28, 2023, at 8:00 AM, services were held.
Donations to the St. John Baptist Orthodox Church Building Fund may be donated in remembrance of the deceased at Holy Theophany Church/St. John Mission, 2770 North Chestnut Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.
