As a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Mark proudly graduated from LSU in 2006 with a degree in Communications. He was an avid fan of LSU football and his beloved Fighting Tigers.
Mark then returned to Shreveport where he enjoyed a successful career as an entrepreneur.
He primarily focused on the restaurant industry, including franchises in Counter Culture and Pizza Rev. Because of his amazing people skills, charisma, and personality, it was there he truly thrived. His work ethic and drive to be successful helped lead the businesses he was involved in to be the highest producing in their respective areas.
Mark was extremely humble so he would never brag about it, but he was proud that hard work had been validated by that success. As well as he should have been, as his family and friends all were very proud of his accomplishments.
Mark was a man of exceptional character, kindness, and compassion. He was known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and his ability to entertain. He also possessed an exceptional personality that left an everlasting impact on so many that were lucky to have met him. Mark had a way of bringing joy to those around him.
To say that the good die young wouldn’t properly describe Mark’s leaving us far too soon. He was the absolute best to all he knew; the best son, grandson, brother, husband, uncle, and friend. His loss will be felt deeply in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
Honoring Mark as pallbearers will be Justin Dewitt, Marshall Ferrell, Robert Cain Gilfold, Cassidy King, Holland Miciotto, James Pendley, and John Tanory.
