The deceased in a catastrophic two-vehicle collision that occurred in Nash County on Sunday night have been identified as Netanya Symoné Richardson and her small child, both of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

In a two-vehicle collision in Rocky Mount late on Sunday night, Richardson, 25, and her son, Andre, 3, both perished.

According to reports, around 11 p.m. on Sunday, Richardson was driving a car on Rocky Mount’s West Raleigh Boulevard near Walnut Street when it collided with another car.

Both Richardson, a well-liked 911 operator in North Carolina, and her infant son were declared dead at the scene from blunt force trauma injuries.

The other involved vehicle’s driver and passenger were sent to a local hospital with critical unidentified wounds.

Investigations are still being conducted into the crash.
