Following a single-vehicle collision on Tuesday on Interstate 80 in Clearfield County, one person is dead.
The collision happened on I-80 east in Bradford Township at 4:48 p.m., according to a press statement from the state police in Clearfield.
According to state police, Yash Bhatt, 32, of Lorton, Virginia, lost control of his car while driving on the slick road and spun out.
He was unable to restore control, so the vehicle left the road on the north side, hit a guiderail end, and overturned.
Nirali Y. Bhatt, 29, a passenger from Lorton, Virginia, was pinned underneath the car and partially ejected, according to state police.

The Clearfield County Coroner’s office declared her dead at the scene; she was not wearing a safety belt.
