Craig Vincent Mueller, 50, of Havre, MT, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre.

A prayer service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home, LaSalle followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, LaSalle with Rev. Thomas Otto, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, LaSalle.

Visitation will be held 4-7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Craig was born September 25, 1972, in LaSalle to Robert J. and Charleen E. (Flannery) Mueller. He married Emylee Fiesel on July 12, 2014, in Big Sky, MT.
Craig earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University in 1997, and a Master of Education in Leadership and Administration from Northern Illinois University in 2007.

In 2018, Craig completed his superintendent endorsement from Montana State University in Bozeman. In 2022, he completed his doctoral coursework at Montana State and was currently working on his dissertation. Earlier, Craig was a social studies teacher, girls’ basketball and boys’ soccer coach at Ottawa High School for 18 years.

He started the Freshman Academy Program at the high school. Craig then moved to Havre, Montana in 2012 to serve as principal of Havre High School. He became Assistant Superintendent and currently served as District Superintendent of Havre Public Schools. Craig served on the Havre Hospital Board and was one of a small select number of superintendents on the State of Montana Board of Public Education selected to write an educational plan for the state. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Montana and the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons in Ottawa. Craig’s greatest loves were his wife and two daughters. His continued commitment to focusing on the students as the center of what should drive education made him a revered leader in education.

He will be greatly missed by his family and all those lucky enough to work with and be influenced by his passions.
Survivors include his wife, Emylee of Havre and their two daughters, Grace Flannery and Everlee Jane. He is also survived by his siblings, Dr. Michelle Mueller, Robert (Paula) Mueller, Kathy Ulivi, Gary (Jean) Mueller and Brian Mueller and his uncle, Vincent (Cathy) Flannery.
