On November 2, 2022, 23-year-old Nadine M. Heroux passed dead.
Her paternal grandparents Bernard and Denise Heroux passed away before her.
Her parents Bernard and Vilmarie Heroux, siblings Francis, Juliana, Eva, and Lucia, maternal grandparents Norberto Lopez and Carmen Leon, aunts and uncles Ricardo Lopez (Maria), Axel Lopez (Addy), Rossana Lopez, Rolando Lopez, Danielle Zielinski (Eric), Pierre Heroux (Karen), Paul Heroux (Linda), Jacqueline Heroux, and a large number of cousins are all still alive.
For eleven long years, Nadine endured rejection, being misunderstood, loneliness, and social estrangement. For Nadine, resiliency is a fundamental concept. She repeatedly stood back up in an effort to try again. She had a smile that could light up a room and made everyone around her feel accepted and loved on those days when the clouds parted.
She developed a short film titled “The Stigma” to raise awareness and advocate for this disease that is so misunderstood because of her enthusiasm for helping those who are suffering from it. We sincerely hope Nadine finds peace since she will be sorely missed. We entrust her to the merciful arms of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Divine Mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
