Sherry Shaffer & Joseph Gshinsky Died In head-on vehicle crash in Westmoreland County.

Two people died in a head-on crash on State Route 981 in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, on Saturday night.

The county coroner identified the victims as Joseph Gshinsky, 35, and Sherry Shaffer, 61.

The coroner said Gshinsky’s SUV crossed the center line and hit Shaffer’s car. Both people died at the scene.

It’s believed speed played a factor in the collision, the coroner said.
