On Saturday, a crash on I-76 Westbound, sometimes known as the Schuylkill Expressway, in Philadelphia claimed the lives of four people.

According to authorities, the collision happened close to the City Avenue exit just before 2 a.m.

When there were entrapments and injuries in a two-car collision, Philadelphia police were called.

Police at the scene found that one car had crossed several lanes of traffic and struck another car. Before coming to a stop on the right shoulder of an off-ramp, the first vehicle spun and overturned.

The second vehicle was rear-ended and thrust forward onto an I-76 West bridge pillar.

Victor Spizzirri, a 31-year-old driver of the first vehicle, was taken with moderate injuries to Temple University Hospital.

The four people in the second automobile died in the collision, according to police, and were pronounced dead at the site.

Their identities have not yet been revealed.
