Report: Son of Lori Vallow, who lives in Arizona, has been arrested on sexual assault charges.
Colby Ryan “said he was sorry and started to cry” after being confronted by the alleged victim, according to charging documents.
PEOPLE confirms that Lori Vallow Daybell’s 26-year-old son, who is currently in jail for the alleged murders of his older brother and sister, has been accused of sexual assault in Arizona.
On Sunday, Colby Ryan was arrested and taken to the Maricopa County Jail.
Ryan is facing two counts of sexual assault in a domestic violence context. As of yet, he has not entered a plea to the charges against him.
In addition to Ryan, Vallow has no other living children.

The mother, who is 49 years old, pleaded not guilty in April. Daybell is another defendant who has entered a not guilty plea.
Officials have stated that Vallow, 57, and Daybell, 54, will be tried together in the first quarter of 2019.

The incident in question is said to have occurred at the residence of the alleged victim on August 31 and thus the charges.
Ryan had visited the woman at her house and they were watching TV together. Police say that the two began having sexual contact with each other after some time had passed.
Lori Vallow’s son wants to know, “How do you not produce the kids?” in reference to his unaccounted-for siblings.
The alleged victim, however, told police that she decided to end the intimate contact and that she told Ryan to back off. According to KSAZ-TV, the charging documents claim he didn’t.
On September 2, the alleged victim filed a police report. According to the charges, she accused Ryan of sexually assaulting her.
According to KSAZ-TV, the victim stated that the defendant “said he was sorry and started to cry” in the court documents.
According to the police report, the alleged victim spoke with Ryan the following morning, and recorded their conversation. In it, Ryan allegedly “agreed” that what had happened the night before constituted sexual assault.

A probable cause statement claims that the unnamed victim told police that Ryan visited her house on Wednesday in order to watch television. The two no longer live together as a couple. Despite their consensual kissing, the woman told police she did not want to have sexual contact with Ryan. According to the probable cause statement, the woman repeatedly asked Ryan to stop touching her inappropriately before he raped her.

Ryan “told his wife he was sorry and began to cry” afterward, the document states.
The next day, she recorded a conversation in which Ryan allegedly admitted to touching and raping her inappropriately.
According to the probable cause, “during the recorded conversation the Defendant agreed that he ‘raped’ the Victim.”
Investigators also claim that Ryan “made verbal admissions” during questioning.
Lori Vallow Daybell and her husband Chad Daybell were accused of killing their son Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and daughter Tylee Ryan, 17. Ryan is Lori Vallow Daybell’s son.
Claims made by prosecutors state that the couple intended to murder Tylee in order to collect on her social security benefits after her father passed away. Some said the couple was responsible for Joshua’s death as well.
After the couple’s two children went missing in November 2019, concerned family members contacted authorities in Idaho. The parents gave conflicting stories to police about where their kids were, including one in which Joshua was supposedly staying with a friend out of state.
Eventually, the couple stopped helping the police and fled the state. They were discovered in Hawaii in 2020 January. Remains of the kids were found in a shallow grave on Chad Daybell’s property later that year.
According to the evidence presented in court, Joshua was interred in a pet cemetery, and Tylee’s remains were dismembered and burned in a fire pit.
At least one additional murder involves the couple. The official report states that the wedding took place a few short weeks after Chad Daybell’s wife, Tammy Daybell, passed away suddenly. After the body was exhumed for an autopsy, it was determined that the death was not accidental. Last year’s autopsy results confirmed that the death was the result of foul play.
Prosecutors say Daybell Vallow and her husband had texted each other that they thought Tammy Daybell was “in limbo” and “possessed by a spirit named Viola” before she was murdered.
In Arizona, Daybell Vallow is also facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death of her ex-husband, Charles Vallow. In 2019, Alex Cox, brother of Daybell Vallow, shot and killed him in what he said was self-defense. Police concluded that Cox’s death was accidental.
