Alex Cox 69, is an English movie director, screenwriter, entertainer, non-fiction writer, and broadcaster who was born on December 15, 1954.
Early in his career, Cox found triumph with Repo Man and Sid and Nancy; but, with Walker’s release and critical and monetary disaster, his career shifted toward self-reliant films.
Cox contributed to the screenplay before Terry Gilliam rewrote it, earning a co-writer credit on the 1998 film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

According to a source, Cox passed away from blood clots that became lodged in his pulmonary arteries.
His death was further exacerbated by high blood pressure.
