Ivana Trump, the glamorous Czech American businesswoman who married Donald J. Trump in the 1980s and established them as a quintessential New York power couple, died on Thursday at her Manhattan home.
The NYPD was looking into whether Ms. Trump fell down the stairs at her Upper East Side home.

Who was Ivana Trump’s father Miloš Zelníček?
Milos Zelníček was a Czech national born in 1927 and died in 1990. His public records indicate that he worked as an electrical engineer in Czechoslovakia.
He noticed his daughter’s athletic ability at a very tender age and encouraged her to pursue her talent in skiing.
The claim that Trump competed for her country in the 1972 Winter Olympics was debunked in 1989 by Petr Pomezný, Secretary General of the Czechoslovak Olympic Committee as there were no records to prove her involvement in the skiing team’s efforts.
