Matthew Perry was born to a lovely family in Williamstown, Massachusetts, on August 19, 1969, and was the only son of his parents. He was the son of Suzanne Marie Morrison Langford who is a Canadian journalist who was press secretary to Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, and John Bennett Perry who is also an American actor and former model.
The couple met at a 1967 pageant when a singing group performed where John Bennett Perry, was the lead singer for folk group the Serendipity Singers. They got married in 1968 and the marriage was blessed with a son.
The pair were married for two years and got separated when their son was just nine months old. Suzanne Langford remarried Canadian broadcast journalist Keith Morrison and the two had four children. John Bennett Perry also remarried and had one child with his second wife.

From what we got from our search, Matthew Perry wrote, “I would have been excited to see him, and then, I’m told, my father took me out of my car seat, handed me into my grandfather’s arms, and, with that, he quietly abandoned me and my mother.”
Matthew Perry added that his dad “became a wonderful father” later in life, but growing up, he couldn’t understand why he left them to pursue his dream of acting in California.
