We’re still more than one month away from the Venom: Let There Be Carnage release, but star Tom Hardy is already thinking about Venom 3. Talking to Esquire Magazine, Hardy spoke about his involvement with a possible sequel, underlining how he would love to pitch his Eddie Brock against Tom Holland ’s Peter Parker.

Directed by Andy Serkis, ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage,’ alternatively known as ‘Venom 2,’ is a superhero action film. It is the second entry in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe following the first ‘Venom,’ which came out in 2018.

There is currently no set release date for the third “Venom” movie, and movie release dates have continued shuffling around thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic (albeit, much less than before), so it seems likely that Sony has simply been waiting to hear the latest film’s reactions before pulling the trigger on Tom Hardy’s next appearance.

It is the second entry in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe following the first ‘Venom,’ which came out in 2018. The story revolves around investigative journalist Eddie Brock, who has bonded with the alien Symbiote Venom and, as a result, has gained a number of special abilities.
