William Caron-Cabrera, a football player from Quebec, Canada, age 17, died after experiencing a cardiac arrest while he was sleeping. He attended the high school in Curé-Antoine-Labelle.

The following statement on Cabrera was made by the school.
The high school’s Wolves, known as Curé-Antoine-Labelle, are in mourning. Earlier in the week of February 6, they made an announcement on the passing of their player William Caron-Cabrera.

He was in fifth grade and was set to continue playing sports with Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy (CNDF) in college. The defensive back also played for the Laval-Nord Vikings and Quebec teams.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of one of our own, as we could see on the Laval team’s Facebook page.

Losing Cabrera, who is only 17 years old, is tragic. His demise signifies a continuing rise in untimely deaths, which it seems no one wants to acknowledge is happening.
