Yuriy Lendel Car Collision: Missouri Man Named as Victim in Kansas Fatal Big-Rig Crash on Monday Night
Yuriy Lendel, of Nixa, Missouri, has reportedly been named as the victim in a fatal car accident in Lyon County, Kansas.
On Monday night near Emporia, Lendel, 35, was killed in an accident involving two commercial trucks.
Lendel, according to reports, was operating a Peterbilt semi-tractor when, at around 10 p.m. on Monday, it crossed the center line and struck a stopped International truck on the Kansas Turnpike near Emporia.
The cause of death for Lendel was determined to be direct force trauma.
The 28-year-old driver of the parked semi got little medical attention for his injuries.
The accident’s root reason is still being looked into.
